Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Draughtsman (Design) / Design Engineer with hands-on experience in Plumbing and Fire Fighting design, with primary expertise in Plumbing and supporting knowledge of Fire Fighting
The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, schematics, sections, and elevations using CAD software, while coordinating with engineers, architects, and other design teams.
Key Responsibilities
Plumbing Design –
- Prepare detailed plumbing design drawings and layouts using AutoCAD/CAD software.
- Develop plumbing plans for water supply, drainage, sanitary, and related systems.
- Prepare schematics, layouts, sections, elevations, and detailed drawings.
- Interpret engineering concepts and convert them into accurate 2D technical drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements.
- Revise and update drawings based on design changes and project requirements.
- Ensure plumbing drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist in preparing design documentation and technical specifications.
Fire Fighting Design –
- Prepare basic to detailed Fire Fighting system drawings and layouts.
- Work on fire fighting layouts including hydrant, sprinkler, fire hose reel and related systems, as applicable.
- Prepare schematics, sections, and elevations for fire fighting systems.
- Coordinate fire fighting drawings with architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Ensure drawings follow applicable fire safety standards and project requirements.
- Make revisions based on engineer/client feedback.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Plumbing Design and Drafting.
- Good working knowledge of Fire Fighting Design and Drafting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/CAD.
- Knowledge of plumbing layouts, schematics, sections, and elevations.
- Understanding of mechanical/MEP drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a design team.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in Plumbing and Fire Fighting design/drafting.
- Candidates with strong Plumbing experience and working knowledge of Fire Fighting will be preferred.
- Experience in MEP consultancy, contracting, construction, or building services projects will be an advantage.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
