Graduate Mechanical & CAD Engineer (3-Month Contract)
Company: Newrup Tech Solutions Private Limited
Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha (On-site / Full-time)
Duration: 3 Months (Contractual)
Eligibility: Graduates only (Mechanical, Production, Aerospace, or strictly allied branches). Current students are not eligible.
About Us
Newrup Tech Solutions Private Limited is an internationally funded, Forbes India-featured clean technology enterprise. We design and manufacture cutting-edge, highly affordable clean energy hardware (including advanced thermal systems and blowers) to combat indoor air pollution globally. We bridge the gap between deep-tech engineering and life-saving physical hardware.
Compensation & Perks
- Salary: Fixed ₹15,000 per month.
- Accommodation: 1 month of complimentary, company-provided housing to support your transition.
- Relocation Support: Travel reimbursement to Bhubaneswar.
Note: This is a strictly on-site, physical, fast-paced fabrication role. Candidates must be ready to relocate to Bhubaneswar immediately for the full 3-month duration.Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Mechanical & CAD Engineer who lives and breathes physical hardware. This is not a purely computational or theoretical role. You will bridge the gap between advanced 3D CAD modeling, CAM toolpath generation, and hands-on workshop fabrication, bringing complex mechanical concepts from screen to reality.
Key Responsibilities
- Mechanical Design: Create highly detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and precise production-ready technical drawings.
- CAM & Machining: Develop CAM toolpaths and operate workshop machinery (lathes, CNC tools) to manufacture precision metal components.
- Rapid Prototyping: Utilize FDM 3D printing and workshop tools to rapidly test and iterate physical geometries.
- Fabrication & Assembly: Perform hands-on assembly and finishing of mechanical prototypes using standard hand and power tools (grinders, drills, sanders).
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Optimize material selection, machining tolerances, and physical designs for efficient, cost-effective production.
Qualifications & Technical Requirements
- Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace, or a directly allied branch.
- Core Software: Strong, demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, CATIA) and standard CAM environments.
- Workshop Competency: Proven, hands-on experience operating physical machine tools and power tools. You must be comfortable working on a shop floor.
- Hardware Portfolio: A mandatory track record of actually building physical mechanical systems (e.g., custom engines, mechanical rigs, complex automotive/aerospace student projects, or personal engineering builds).
- Mindset: An analytical approach to mechanical tolerances, a sharp eye for structural integrity, and the drive to execute quickly in a physical workspace.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 per month
Application Question(s):
- Do you own a personal laptop capable of handling heavy 3D CAD workloads, and do you currently have a working version of SolidWorks installed on it ready for immediate use?
- How many physical mechanical projects have you successfully fabricated and assembled yourself using workshop machinery (e.g., lathes, CNCs, 3D printers) or power tools?
- oes your attached resume include a visible link to a portfolio or drive showcasing physical mechanical projects you have actually built (not just digital CAD renders)?
- Are you fully prepared to relocate to Bhubaneswar immediately for a strictly on-site, 3-month contractual mechanical fabrication role?
- Have you officially graduated with a degree in Mechanical, Production, Aerospace, or a directly allied branch? (Current students are strictly not eligible).
Work Location: In person
