Job Profile: Platform / Software Engineer * We are looking for a technically strong engineer with hands-on experience in CI/CD, Kubernetes/OCP, and AWS cloud infrastructure. * The role supports the design, build, deployment, and operational stability of a busy API gateway platform(Example-APIGEE) and its supporting ecosystem in a highly regulated environment. * The engineer will work across AWS cloud infra, GitLab CI, Kubernetes/OpenShift, deployment automation, and API traffic analysis. Strong troubleshooting skills are essential, particularly across complex distributed systems and multi-team API journeys. Required Technical Skills * Hands-on experience maintaining and setup of API gateways on AWS cloud infrastructure, Preferred APIGEE experience * Understanding of build, test, deploy, promotion, rollback, and release automation patterns. * Practical experience with Kubernetes, ideally OpenShift(OCP). * Ability to build, inspect, troubleshoot, and optimise container images. * Understanding of registries, image tagging, runtime behaviour, and container logs. * Experience with Helm charts, Ansible playbooks, or similar deployment automation. * Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code / Configuration as Code principles. * Ability to manage deployment configuration through source control. * Strong ability to trace API traffic across multiple components. * Experience troubleshooting across API gateways, ingress/routes, middleware, authentication, backend services, downstream systems, and network components. * Good understanding of HTTP, REST, headers, status codes, request/response flows, latency, timeouts, and error patterns. * Deep troubleshooting capability across pipeline, platform, application, Linux, network, and API layers. * Experience using logs, metrics, events, traces, and deployment evidence to support investigations. * Familiarity with tools such as **Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or similar. * Experience working in a highly regulated environment. * Understanding of change control, release governance, audit evidence, production controls, and operational resilience. * Ability to produce clear documentation, runbooks, investigation notes, and deployment evidence. * Familiarity with Java, Maven, and Artifactory.
