We are seeking an experienced and performance-driven Competitive Swimming Coach to lead and develop swimmers in the competitive wing. The coach will be responsible for planning advanced training programs, preparing athletes for competitions, improving technical performance, and fostering a culture of discipline, teamwork, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and conduct advanced swim training sessions for competitive swimmers.
Train athletes in all four competitive strokes, starts, turns, relay exchanges, and race strategies.
Develop age-appropriate conditioning, endurance, and performance improvement programs.
Prepare swimmers for district, state, national, and inter-school competitions.
Monitor swimmer performance through regular assessments and maintain progress records.
Analyze swimmer techniques and provide corrective coaching for performance enhancement.
Ensure adherence to safety procedures, pool regulations, and athlete welfare standards.
Coordinate participation in swim meets, tournaments, and training camps.
Mentor swimmers in discipline, teamwork, goal setting, and sportsmanship.
Communicate effectively with parents and management regarding athlete progress and competition schedules.
Work collaboratively with assistant coaches and sports department staff.
Assist in talent identification and swimmer progression from pre-competitive to competitive levels.
Maintain training equipment and ensure proper use of pool facilities.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Coaching, or related field preferred.
4–8 years of competitive swimming coaching experience.
Certified swimming coach from recognized swimming or sports authority preferred.
Strong competitive swimming background and technical expertise.
CPR, First Aid, and Lifesaving certification preferred.
Experience coaching school-level, club-level, or state/national-level swimmers is an advantage.
