About the Role
We are seeking a warm, energetic, and responsible Daycare Coordinator who is passionate about working with young children. The ideal candidate should be patient, nurturing, and capable of creating a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children while ensuring smooth day-to-day daycare operations.
Key Responsibilities- Child Care & Supervision
- Ensure the safety, well-being, and emotional comfort of all children in the daycare.
- Foster a positive, caring, and inclusive environment.
- Manage children's daily routines, including meals, rest time, and recreational activities.
Learning & Engagement
- Conduct interactive storytelling sessions to enhance children's language and listening skills.
- Assist school-going children with their homework and academic tasks.
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote creativity, learning, and social development.
- Organize engaging indoor and outdoor activities.
Creative Activities
- Conduct art and craft sessions to encourage creativity and fine motor skill development.
- Lead dance, music, movement, or other recreational activities that keep children actively engaged.
- Prepare materials and resources required for various activities.
Parent Communication
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and well-being.
- Address parent queries professionally and courteously.
Administration & Coordination
- Maintain attendance records and daily activity logs.
- Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and readiness of daycare spaces.
- Coordinate with teachers and support staff to ensure seamless daycare operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (Early Childhood Education qualification preferred).
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Strong storytelling and child engagement abilities.
- Ability to assist children with homework and basic academic support.
- Skills in dance, art & craft, music, or other creative activities.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to handle children calmly and positively in different situations.
Preferred Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in a preschool, daycare, activity centre, or similar child-focused environment.
- Fresh candidates with exceptional communication skills and a passion for child development may also apply.
