The Regional Financial Controller for South India Hotels will be a pivotal leader responsible for overseeing and directing all financial operations across a portfolio of hotels within the South India region. This role requires a highly experienced and strategic finance professional who can ensure financial integrity, drive profitability, and provide critical insights to regional and corporate leadership. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing robust financial controls, optimizing financial performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and efficiency across all properties.
- Oversee and direct all financial accounting, reporting, and control activities for multiple hotel properties in the South India region.
- Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies and procedures (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the region, working closely with hotel General Managers and department heads to develop realistic and ambitious financial plans.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis of financial performance against budget and forecast, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Implement, monitor, and enforce strong internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data.
- Manage cash flow and working capital effectively across the region, optimizing liquidity and investment decisions.
- Prepare and present comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and performance reports to regional management, corporate finance, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor hotel finance teams within the region, fostering professional development and ensuring high standards of financial management.
- Coordinate and manage all internal and external audit processes for the regional properties, ensuring timely and accurate submission of required documentation.
- Provide strategic financial advice and support to regional operations teams, assisting in business decisions, contract negotiations, and capital expenditure planning.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and revenue enhancement strategies across the hotel portfolio.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns, including tax, payroll, and other regulatory submissions.
- Act as a key liaison between hotel finance teams, regional operations, and corporate finance departments.
