Component Engineer 2
Duties of Position: (Include specific duties and responsibilities)
The person should perform the following in his role:
- Work with a team specialized in the Environmental Compliance.
- Work with the Manufacturing Team and Customers on Bill of Materials
- Periodic review and Analysis of the Bill of Materials
- Study and Understand the Component Datasheets and Specifications
- Communicate directly with the Manufacturers, Suppliers, Distributors etc to get the Environmental Compliance certificates
- Work with the IT Team for any issues in the PLM or ERP Platform
- Detail oriented with willingness to conduct highly repetitive assignments
Qualifications Required: (Education, experience, skills, etc. Please be specific)
- Bachelor in Electronics/ Electronics and communication/Electrical and Electronics engineering/Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Compliance Engineering
- Strong knowledge of Compliance engineering process.
- Strong experience in reading the Multi-Level Bill of Materials and Component Datasheets
- Strong knowledge of Electronic Components and its Specifications
- Strong knowledge of Environmental Regulatory Compliance such as RoHS 2 - Directive 2011/65/EU, ROHS Amendment 1 Substance Restrictions – EU Directive 2015/863, REACH – SCIP Registration, Battery Directive – Directive 2006/66/EC, REACH Candidate List –ECHA, California Proposition 65 – Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation, IMDS
- Strong Knowledge in Microsoft Excel with familiarity in Database entry
- Familiarity with the Electronic components part numbering, manufacturers, authorized distributors etc
- Exposure to work on the global environment, the ability to communicate with professionals across the world
- Excellent Verbal/Written English Communication Skills
- Excellent Customer Interaction Skill for technical discussions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and influence others to accomplish tasks
- Detail oriented with good organizational and problem solving skills
