Role Overview
We are looking for a creative Video Editor / Motion Graphics Designer who can create high-quality YouTube videos, Reels, Shorts, product explainers, and short-form marketing videos for Stoky’s AI-powered financial intelligence app. This role is for someone who understands both content editing and motion design — someone who can edit engaging YouTube-style videos, create fast-paced Reels and Shorts, add clean motion graphics, use AI tools when helpful, and turn rough ideas into polished, share-worthy videos that drive real user growth.
Content You’ll Work On
- YouTube explainer videos
- Product launch videos and SaaS/product ads
- Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok-style videos
- Founder and product videos
- Voiceover-based and animated explainer videos
- Finance and investing education clips
Key Responsibilities
- Edit long-form YouTube videos with strong pacing, structure, and retention
- Create short-form videos for Reels, Shorts, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Add motion graphics, animated text, transitions, captions, and visual effects
- Create clean product-style animations using After Effects or similar tools
- Turn rough scripts, voiceovers, or ideas into engaging video content
- Design and animate UI-style elements such as cards, charts, search bars, stock tickers, and insight bubbles
- Repurpose longer videos into multiple short clips
- Add captions, hooks, zooms, cuts, B-roll, sound effects, and music
- Use AI tools for editing, asset generation, voiceover, background visuals, and creative iteration
- Maintain a consistent visual style across YouTube, Reels, ads, and product videos
- Export videos in multiple formats: 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong video editing skills, with experience editing YouTube videos, Reels, Shorts, or TikToks
- Good sense of pacing, hooks, retention, and storytelling
- Strong captioning and text animation skills
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut
- Experience with Adobe After Effects or similar motion graphics tools
- Ability to create animated titles, kinetic typography, lower thirds, UI cards, product callouts, and chart animations
- Understanding of strong first-2-second hooks, fast cuts, pattern interrupts, and vertical video composition
- Understanding of story structure, retention editing, B-roll placement, and audio cleanup
- Good typography, layout, and visual design taste
- Comfortable editing voiceover-led videos and using AI video/design tools
- Ability to create polished videos from rough ideas or scripts

- ElevenLabs, Descript, OpusClip, CapCut AI tools, Topaz
- ChatGPT / Claude for script and content ideation
Nice to Have
- Experience with fintech, investing, AI, SaaS, or startup content
- Ability to write or improve video scripts
- Experience creating YouTube thumbnails
- Figma, Illustrator, Blender, Spline, or Cinema 4D experience
- Understanding of social media trends and viral video formats
