About the Role:
As Senior Analyst– Strategic Engagement, you will be responsible for driving strategic
media engagement and amplifying narratives that influence public discourse and
stakeholder perception. You will lead efforts to build media relationships, develop
communication strategies, and ensure consistent, high-quality coverage of client initiatives
and social impact themes. This role is pivotal in shaping thought leadership and enhancing
visibility across platforms.
- Train client staff to be effective spokespersons and staff from grassroots
organisations on media relations, disseminating press releases and securing
stories.
- Write press releases and other background information to share with the media to
secure stories.
- Facilitate media field visits by accompanying journalists, coordinating interviews,
and identifying relevant internal and external spokespersons to ensure
comprehensive and balanced coverage.
- Build relationships with the Dept. of Information and Public Relations and govt.
PRO's to assist with media trainings and dissemination to stories
- Conduct media workshops for the client with journalists in the state.
- Track relevant news in the state for the client and share it with them
Key Responsibilities:
Media Strategy & Planning:
Design and execute comprehensive media plans that align with client goals and program
lifecycles, covering themes such as policy, impact, and advocacy.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and PR
agencies to ensure sustained media interest and coverage.
Narrative Development:
Identify and pitch strategic stories—including case studies, impact narratives, and survivor
journeys—to mainstream and regional media outlets.
Partnerships & Amplification:
Develop strategic partnerships with media and communication firms to expand reach and
influence across digital and traditional channels.
Content Curation & Dissemination:
Collaborate with internal teams to curate and disseminate media assets that reflect the
scale, nature, and outcomes of client programs.
Supervisory and Collaboration:
This role belongs to the Strategic Communications function and will work closely
with the vertical head, other designers, content writers, client and Qrate teams as
necessary based on projects assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, Mass Media, Public Relations, or
related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in media engagement, communications strategy,
or public affairs.
- Strong understanding of media dynamics, storytelling, and campaign planning.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strategic thinking with a flair for innovative ideation.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Negotiation and persuasion capabilities.
- Proficiency in English; regional language skills are a plus.
Travel and Special Requirements:
This role requires occasional travel as per business needs.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the role may be required to undertake other
tasks as assigned by the Company’s leadership. These responsibilities may fall outside the
scope of this job description and will be aligned with the Qrate’s strategic priorities and
operational needs.
Pay: Up to ₹850,000.00 per year
