The Interior Project Manager / Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing interior fit-out projects from design finalization to project handover. The role involves managing site activities, coordinating with clients, designers, vendors, and contractors, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
Coordinate interior projects from initiation to completion.
Prepare project schedules, work plans, and progress tracking reports.
Ensure timely execution of all project activities.
Monitor project timelines and take corrective actions when delays occur.
Site Management
Conduct regular site visits and inspections.
Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
Maintain site safety and quality standards.
Client Coordination
Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution.
Provide regular project updates and progress reports.
Handle client queries, concerns, and change requests.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
Track material procurement and delivery schedules.
Verify contractor work completion and quality standards.
Quality Control
Ensure workmanship meets company standards.
Conduct quality inspections before project handover.
Resolve defects and snagging issues.
Budget & Documentation
Monitor project budgets and control costs.
Prepare BOQs, estimates, and work orders.
Maintain project documentation, reports, and records.
Track billing milestones and project payments.
Team Coordination
Work closely with interior designers, architects, and engineers.
Coordinate meetings and communicate project requirements to stakeholders.
Support management with project status reports.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in interior fit-out or construction project management.
Knowledge of interior materials, furniture, modular works, and finishing works.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, and project management tools.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
