Job Overview
The Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring the efficient management of store inventory. The role requires close coordination with all departments to ensure the timely availability of materials while maintaining accurate stock records and cost-effective procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and supplies as per company requirements.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate with vendors, and prepare purchase orders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and quality products.
- Manage store operations, including receiving, issuing, and storing materials properly.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability to prevent shortages.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, purchases, and inventory transactions.
- Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Coordinate with departments to understand material requirements and ensure timely procurement.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
- Prepare procurement, inventory, and stock reports for management.
- Ensure proper storage practices and maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or store management.
- Experience in inventory control and warehouse/store operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory/ERP software.
