Job Summary
The Senior Accounts Executive professional will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, taxation, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and audit-related functions. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, finance, taxation, and regulatory compliance, along with hands-on experience in accounting software and advanced Excel. The candidate will also support financial analysis, reporting, audits, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and financial schedules.
- Handle GST, TDS, income tax, and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and maintenance of relevant records.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and provide required information and documentation.
- Perform account reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor/customer balances, and outstanding payments.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and provide insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation laws, and company policies.
- Maintain proper documentation for accounting, taxation, audit, and compliance purposes.
- Identify discrepancies and support corrective actions to maintain financial accuracy.
- Coordinate with banks, vendors, customers, auditors, consultants, and other stakeholders as required.
- Support the Finance Manager / Head of Finance in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Manage and guide junior accounts team members where required.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce / finance / accounting.
- M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Experience
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in Accounts, Finance, Taxation, Audit, and Compliance.
- Strong experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience handling statutory taxation and compliance activities.
- Experience in audit coordination and financial closing activities.
- Experience managing or guiding junior accounts team members will be an advantage.
