Job Summary
Gupta Surgical Hospital is seeking experienced and dedicated Nursing Staff for the Operation Theatre (OT) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical experience and be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, assisting medical teams during surgical and critical care procedures, maintaining patient safety, and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and nursing standards.
Qualifications
- GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid Registration Certificate from the U.P. Nurses & Midwives Council.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Experience in Operation Theatre (OT), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care, or Surgical Nursing is mandatory.
- Experience handling surgical and critically ill patients is essential.
OT (Operation Theatre) Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the Operation Theatre for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and surgical teams during operations.
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Prepare patients for surgery and provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
- Monitor patients during surgical procedures and report any abnormalities.
ICU Responsibilities
- Provide intensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient conditions, and treatment responses.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as prescribed.
- Operate and monitor ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and other critical care equipment.
- Assist physicians during emergency procedures and resuscitation efforts.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
- Maintain accurate patient records

- Strong knowledge of OT and ICU nursing procedures.
- Patient assessment and critical care monitoring skills.
- Ventilator management and critical care equipment handling.
- Medication administration and IV therapy.
- Surgical assistance and OT instrument management.
- Infection control, sterilization, and patient safety practices.
- Emergency response and resuscitation support.
- Nursing documentation and record management.
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment.
