Job Summary
Samarth E Mobility is looking for a skilled Portable CMM Operator to perform dimensional inspection of automotive and EV components using portable Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equipment. The candidate will ensure components meet engineering specifications and support quality assurance throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspection using Portable CMM (Portable Arm/CMM).
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection requirements.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain measurement records.
- Verify components during incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Identify dimensional deviations and coordinate with Production and Quality teams for corrective actions.
- Ensure proper calibration, handling, and maintenance of CMM equipment.
- Support new product development, first article inspections (FAI), and process validation.
- Follow quality standards, SOPs, and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in CMM inspection, preferably in the automotive or EV industry.
- Hands-on experience with Portable CMM systems (Hexagon, FARO, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and dimensional metrology.
- Familiarity with quality tools, inspection documentation, and MS Office.
- Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
