Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Production Engineer to oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations for pressure cookers. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of metal fabrication, assembly processes, production planning, manpower management, quality control, and lean manufacturing practices to ensure timely and efficient production while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily production activities to achieve production targets and delivery schedules.
- Supervise manufacturing processes including blanking, deep drawing, trimming, polishing, machining, assembly, testing, and packaging of pressure cookers.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
- Monitor production efficiency and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Purchase, and Planning departments for smooth production flow.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality systems, and manufacturing SOPs.
- Minimize production downtime through effective planning and preventive maintenance coordination.
- Monitor production KPIs such as productivity, rejection rate, machine utilization, and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production supervisors and shop-floor operators.
- Ensure adherence to ISO quality standards and statutory manufacturing regulations.
- Maintain production reports, shift reports, inventory consumption, and daily production records.
- Collaborate with the R&D and Tool Room teams for new product development and process optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- 8–12 years of experience in pressure cooker, cookware, aluminum utensils, stainless steel products, or sheet metal manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of metal forming, deep drawing, assembly lines, hydraulic presses, polishing, machining, and fabrication processes.
- Experience in production planning, capacity utilization, manpower handling, and quality management.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
