The Senior Cameraman is responsible for capturing high-quality video content for news broadcasts, live reporting, and special programs. The role involves handling advanced camera equipment, mentoring junior cameramen, and ensuring visual storytelling aligns with editorial standards.
- Operate professional broadcast cameras for news coverage, interviews, live events, and studio shoots.
- Plan and execute visual storytelling in coordination with reporters, producers, and editors.
- Handle live outdoor broadcasting (OB), breaking news coverage, and high-pressure field assignments.
- Ensure proper framing, lighting, composition, and audio synchronization.
- Set up and manage camera equipment, tripods, lighting kits, and related accessories.
- Coordinate with the technical team for live telecasts and satellite uplinks.
- Guide and supervise junior cameramen and trainees.
- Maintain and ensure proper functioning of camera equipment.
- Travel extensively for on-location shoots and emergency news coverage.
- Adhere to editorial guidelines, safety standards, and deadlines.
