Job Title: Procurement Engineer – OHE (Railway Electrification)

Job Summary
The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring timely delivery of materials required for Railway Overhead Electrification (OHE) projects. The role includes vendor development, cost negotiation, procurement planning, contract management, and coordination with engineering, project execution, stores, and finance teams to ensure uninterrupted project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and procure OHE materials as per project requirements and schedules.
- Source and purchase OHE components including masts, portals, cantilevers, conductors, insulators, droppers, fittings, jumpers, section insulators, ATD, SPS, and other railway electrification materials.
- Develop and maintain relationships with approved vendors and manufacturers.
- Obtain quotations, conduct techno-commercial evaluations, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders, comparative statements, and procurement reports.
- Coordinate with engineering, planning, and site teams for material specifications and delivery priorities.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure on-time deliveries.
- Track inventory levels and avoid material shortages or excess stock.
- Ensure procurement complies with client specifications, RDSO/Indian Railways standards, and project quality requirements where applicable.
- Resolve vendor issues related to quality, delays, shortages, and warranty claims.
- Coordinate logistics, transportation, and material dispatch to project sites.
- Maintain procurement documentation, vendor records, and MIS reports.
- Support contract management, billing verification, and audit requirements.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 3–8 years of experience in procurement for Railway OHE, EPC, Metro, or Railway Electrification projects.
- Knowledge of Railway Electrification materials and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with vendor management, contract negotiation, and supply chain operations.
- Experience working with ERP/SAP and MS Excel.

Salary
· ₹4,00,000 – ₹5,00,000 per year (Based on experience)
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
