Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering
Facility Management certification preferred
Knowledge of hospital engineering systems preferred
Experience
Minimum 8–15 years experience in hospital maintenance / facility management
Experience in multi-specialty hospital preferred
Knowledge of NABH requirements will be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations
Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities of the hospital
Ensure smooth functioning of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and utility systems
Plan preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules
Monitor critical equipment and infrastructure availability
Electrical & Utility Management
Supervise DG, UPS, electrical panels and power backup systems
Ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical areas (ICU, OT, Emergency)
Monitor water supply, STP/WTP and other utility systems
Coordinate with vendors for AMC and service activities
HVAC & Medical Systems
Ensure maintenance of HVAC systems, AHU and ventilation systems
Monitor medical gas pipeline systems and safety compliance
Coordinate preventive maintenance of hospital equipment with biomedical team
Team Management
Lead maintenance engineers, technicians and support staff
Prepare duty roster and allocate manpower
Train team members on safety and maintenance procedures
Monitor performance and discipline
Vendor & AMC Management
Manage external vendors and contractors
Review AMC contracts and service performance
Ensure timely completion of maintenance work
Maintain service records and reports
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with fire safety, electrical safety and statutory requirements
Support NABH audits and facility inspections
Maintain maintenance logs, checklists and documentation
Ensure workplace safety practices
Budget & Reporting
Prepare maintenance budget and cost control plans
Monitor spare parts and inventory requirements
Submit periodic maintenance reports to management
