The PGT Mathematics Teacher is responsible for teaching Mathematics to senior secondary students in accordance with the prescribed curriculum. The teacher will create an engaging learning environment, promote analytical and problem-solving skills, assess student performance, and contribute to the overall academic development of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons.
- Teach topics as per the prescribed curriculum and examination board guidelines.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance through tests, projects, practical activities, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback and academic support to students.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
- Identify learning gaps and conduct remedial or enrichment classes as required.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Prepare students for board examinations and competitive examinations where applicable.
- Foster critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, training programs, and school events.
- Perform other academic and administrative duties assigned by the school management.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree (M.Sc./M.A.) in Mathematics from a recognized university.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience as a PGT Mathematics teacher in a reputed school (preferred).
- Fresh candidates with strong academic credentials may also be considered.
