The Accountant is responsible for managing the hospital's financial records, billing transactions, accounts payable and receivable, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The role ensures accurate accounting practices and supports the hospital's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting entries.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal vouchers.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor hospital revenue, expenses, and budget utilization.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and hospital policies.
- Process payroll and employee reimbursement claims.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Maintain records of patient billing, insurance claims, and vendor payments.
- Prepare GST, TDS, and other statutory filings as required.
- Support management with financial analysis and reporting.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Candidate
- CA/CMA/B.Com/M.Com qualification.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
