Role Description:
The Academic Consultant will support the design, development, coordination, and implementation of education and teacher-development programmes. The role will involve working closely with academic, programme, and implementation teams and will provide opportunities to contribute to teacher training, curriculum and manual development, educational research, assessment, documentation, and programme coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to design and development of innovative, creative, and engaging training manuals, facilitator guides, workbooks, classroom resources, and learning materials.
- Develop educational content in a simple, practical, activity-based, experiential, and visually engaging manner suitable for teachers and school leaders.
- Assist in conceptualising and developing new activities, pedagogical approaches, learning resources, and training methodologies.
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of teacher training programmes, workshops, seminars, webinars, and capacity-building programmes.
- Be willing and able to travel to different locations for workshops, school visits, training programmes, field activities, and programme implementation, as required.
- Coordinate with schools, teachers, education departments, partner organisations, and other stakeholders for the smooth implementation of programmes.
- Assist in preparing and drafting MoUs, proposals, concept notes, letters, presentations, project documents, and other programme-related documentation.
- Support the team in reviewing and finalising MoU-related documents, partnership documents, scope of work, deliverables, and implementation plans.
- Conduct research and background studies related to school education, pedagogy, curriculum, teacher development, assessment, NEP 2020, and emerging educational practices.
- Support the development and review of competency-based, experiential, activity-based, and technology-enabled learning resources.
- Assist in conducting needs assessments, pre- and post-training assessments, surveys, feedback collection, and other programme evaluation activities.
- Document workshop proceedings, teacher feedback, classroom practices, case studies, success stories, and programme outcomes.
- Prepare reports, presentations, meeting notes, progress updates, and other project documentation.
- Proofread and edit academic and training content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and quality.
- Convert complex educational concepts into clear, practical, and teacher-friendly learning points.
- Work collaboratively with academic, programme, technology, creative, and implementation teams.
- Support the team in piloting, reviewing, and improving training materials and educational interventions based on participant and stakeholder feedback.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and effectively communicate with teachers, school leaders, government officials, partners, and internal teams.
- Take initiative, demonstrate creativity, learn continuously, and contribute innovative ideas to strengthen the organisation's education programmes.
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hindi.
- Strong content development, writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
- Basic understanding of MS Office/Google Workspace and digital learning tools.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments.
- A proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented approach.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Freshers as well as candidates with relevant experience may apply.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to travel for workshops, training programmes, school visits, and field assignments.
- Selection process may include a written/creative assessment and interview.
- Selected candidates will be subject to applicable reference/background checks and a three-month probationary period.
