Job Summary
Vedvana Wellness is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Laundry Boy with 2–5 years of experience in the hotel, resort, or hospitality industry. The candidate will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing, folding, and maintaining linen, uniforms, towels, and guest laundry while ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained.
Key ResponsibilitiesLaundry Operations
- Wash, dry, iron, fold, and sort linen, towels, uniforms, and guest clothes.
- Operate laundry machines and equipment safely.
- Follow proper washing instructions for different fabrics and garments.
- Ensure timely processing and delivery of laundry items.
- Handle guest laundry carefully and professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the laundry area.
- Report any machine breakdowns or maintenance issues.
Linen & Uniform Management
- Maintain adequate stock of clean linen, towels, bathrobes, etc.
- Report damaged or missing linen to the supervisor.
- Assist in issuing and collecting uniforms from employees as per organizational procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of clean linen and uniforms.
Coordination & Service Support
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, purchase team for timely laundry requirements.
- Ensure prompt delivery of laundry items to guest rooms and operational departments.
- Support housekeeping activities during peak operational requirements when assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum Higher Secondary (10th/12th Pass) preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in laundry operations within hotels, resorts, wellness centres, or hospitality establishments.
- Knowledge of laundry chemicals, stain removal techniques, and fabric care.
- Ability to operate laundry machinery and equipment efficiently.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and safety standards.
- Physically fit and capable of handling laundry-related tasks.
- Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as per operational requirements.
