Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher (PRT) – EVS to teach Environmental Studies to students of Grades I to V as per the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should create engaging, activity-based learning experiences that develop students' curiosity, environmental awareness, observation skills, and scientific thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Environmental Studies (EVS) to Grades I–V following the CBSE curriculum and school academic plan.
- Plan and deliver interactive, experiential, and inquiry-based lessons using real-life examples, projects, and hands-on activities.
- Foster environmental awareness, critical thinking, observation, and problem-solving skills among students.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and learning resources aligned with CBSE learning outcomes.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments, maintain student records, and provide constructive feedback.
- Integrate technology and digital teaching tools to enhance classroom learning.
- Organize field visits, nature walks, environmental awareness programmes, and classroom activities.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and parents to support students' holistic development.
- Participate actively in school events, meetings, training programmes, and other academic responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Science (B.Sc.) or a relevant discipline from a recognized university
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- CTET qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of the CBSE Primary EVS curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct activity-based and experiential learning sessions.
- Good proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Knowledge of digital teaching tools such as smart boards and presentation software.
- Creative, patient, and enthusiastic approach to teaching young learners.
- Strong organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
