The platform leverages Hyperledger Fabric, cloud-native architecture, mobile applications, government dashboards, insurer integrations, and modern API-driven services to create a trusted ecosystem connecting governments, insurers, enforcement agencies, and citizens.
As we scale our engineering organization, we are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to help implement Cybersecurity, Application Security, and Cloud Security.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively utilize modern "AI powered" engineering tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Devin, Windsurf, or equivalent platforms to accelerate development, improve software quality, enhance testing, automate repetitive tasks, and increase engineering productivity. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in "a human plus AI" development environment while maintaining strong software engineering fundamentals, security awareness, and code quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across applications, infrastructure, APIs, and cloud environments.
- Lead application security activities, including secure design reviews, threat modeling, and security testing.
- Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM), authentication, authorization, and privileged access controls.
- Design and maintain encryption and key management solutions for data at rest and in transit.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and coordinate remediation activities.
- Integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform security assessments of APIs, integrations, and third-party services.
- Support penetration testing activities and ensure timely remediation of identified findings.
- Monitor security posture and recommend improvements to reduce organizational risk.
- Develop and maintain security baselines, standards, and hardening guidelines.
- Support security audits, compliance assessments, and risk management activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, infrastructure, and leadership teams to embed security throughout the platform.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Evaluate emerging threats and implement appropriate preventive and detective controls.
- Provide security guidance throughout the design, development, deployment, and operational lifecycle.
Key Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Application Security, Cloud Security, or Security Engineering roles.
- Strong experience securing web applications, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Proven expertise in Application Security, including secure coding principles, OWASP Top 10, threat modeling, and secure SDLC practices.
- Strong knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM), RBAC, ABAC, SSO, MFA, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and privileged access management.
- Hands-on experience implementing encryption technologies, PKI, certificate management, HSMs, and key management solutions.
- Experience conducting vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and remediation validation.
- Strong understanding of penetration testing methodologies and common attack techniques.
- Experience securing cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows.
- Strong understanding of security architecture, risk management, and security-by-design principles.
