Job Summary
The General Manager – Construction will be responsible for end-to-end management of construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality execution, cost control, safety compliance, and stakeholder coordination. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and strategic oversight across multiple sites and teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution
- Oversee planning, execution, and completion of construction projects as per approved timelines, budgets, and specifications.
- Review project schedules, drawings, BOQs, and method statements to ensure feasibility and efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and statutory regulations.
Team & Contractor Management
- Lead and manage project managers, site engineers, supervisors, and support teams.
- Appoint, evaluate, and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Resolve site-level issues, conflicts, and escalations effectively.
Cost Control & Budgeting
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and billing to ensure financial discipline.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Approve measurements, RA bills, and final bills in coordination with accounts.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, labor laws, and local authority approvals.
- Conduct periodic audits and site inspections.
Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination
- Prepare and present periodic progress reports, MIS, and risk assessments to management.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, clients, and internal departments for smooth execution.
- Act as the key point of contact for project-related decision-making.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for construction activities.
- Drive efficiency, accountability, and performance across projects.
- Support ERP or project management system implementation, if applicable.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 7–10+ years of experience in construction/project management, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, BOQs, billing, and planning tools.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera and ERP systems (preferred).

Pay: ₹20,896.44 - ₹80,000.00 per month
