Job Description: Milling Machine Operator
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented milling machine operator to join our manufacturing team at Carbon Light Private Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manual milling machines to shape and cut metal or other materials according to precise specifications and blueprints.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate manual milling machines to perform tasks such as slotting, shaping, and drilling.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
- Material Setup: Secure raw materials and workpieces into the machine fixtures/vices properly.
- Tool Selection: Select the appropriate cutting tools, feed rates, and speed settings based on the material type.
- Quality Control: Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges) to inspect finished parts and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines, change worn-out tools, and manage tool room inventory.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, including wearing proper PPE and maintaining a clean work environment.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 6 months to 6+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or handling manual milling machines.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of machine shop math, tool selection, and measuring instruments.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials if required.
- Key Traits: Sharp attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹29,378.23 per month
