Job Title: Finance Operations Lead
Location: On-Site Mumbai |
At Urja, we’re looking for a finance professional who wants to be more than a back-office function. We want someone who will help build the financial backbone of a growing company.
You’ll work directly with the CEO and play a central role in ensuring that our finances are organized, compliant, efficient, and ready to support growth.

What the role encompasses:
Keep The Engine Running
- Raise and track client invoices.

Monitor collections and follow up on receivables.

Maintain accurate books of account and financial records.

Ensure transactions are recorded correctly and on time.
Own Compliance

Coordinate GST, TDS, professional tax, and other statutory compliance requirements.

Work with external accountants, auditors, consultants, and regulatory professionals.

Maintain documentation and records required for audits and filings.

Ensure deadlines are never missed.
Build Financial Visibility

Prepare management reports and MIS dashboards.

Track profitability, project costs, and business performance metrics.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Help management understand where the business is making money and where it is losing it.
Manage Cash Intelligently

Monitor cash flows and bank balances.

Plan vendor payments and manage working capital.

Maintain banking relationships and coordinate routine banking activities.

Help ensure that the company always has financial clarity and control.
Help Build The Function

Are You The One?
The Experience
-
3–7 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or business finance.

Experience in a services business, agency, consulting firm, technology company, or SME environment is a plus.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance requirements.

Accounting and bookkeeping

Excel and spreadsheet modelling

Experience with accounting software Tally is expected.
