Position: Interior Estimation Engineer

Job Summary
The Interior Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, quantity take-offs, and project quotations for interior fit-out and modular furniture projects. The role requires coordination with the design, production, procurement, and project execution teams to ensure competitive pricing and timely submission of estimates.
Key Responsibilities
- Study architectural drawings, interior layouts, and specifications.
- Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
- Perform quantity take-offs from AutoCAD drawings.
- Prepare project cost estimates for residential, commercial, and office interiors.
- Estimate costs for:
- Modular furniture
- Loose furniture
- Civil works
- Gypsum works
- False ceiling
- Painting
- Flooring
- Electrical works
- Plumbing works
- Glass & aluminium works
- Hardware & accessories
- Calculate material, labour, transportation, and installation costs.
- Prepare cutting lists and material requirements wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with the design team for drawing clarifications.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Compare vendor quotations and recommend the most economical options.
- Prepare client quotations and tender documents.
- Maintain updated material price lists and vendor databases.
- Assist the procurement team with material planning.
- Prepare project budgets and cost reports.
- Coordinate with production and site teams regarding project cost variations.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
- Prepare revised estimates for variation orders.
- Ensure timely submission of estimates as per project deadlines.
Daily Duties
- Review new project drawings.
- Prepare BOQs and quantity take-offs.
- Follow up with vendors for quotations.
- Update material price databases.
- Coordinate with architects and project coordinators.
- Prepare client quotations.
- Submit estimates to management for approval.
- Maintain estimation records and documentation.

Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in interior estimation, quantity surveying, or fit-out projects.
