Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Production Manager to oversee and manage daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production planning, quality compliance, cost control, and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and experience in food processing or FMCG manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Operations
* Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities.
* Ensure achievement of production targets as per schedules.
* Optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization.
* Coordinate with procurement, quality, maintenance, and dispatch teams for smooth operations.
Process & Quality Management
* Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
* Monitor production processes to maintain product consistency and quality.
* Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve productivity.
* Maintain proper production records and documentation.
Team Management* Supervise production supervisors, operators, and workers.* Allocate responsibilities and monitor workforce performance.* Conduct training programs to enhance productivity and workplace safety.* Maintain discipline and a positive work culture on the shop floor.
Inventory & Resource Control
* Monitor raw material consumption and minimize wastage.
* Coordinate with stores for material availability.
* Ensure efficient utilization of production resources.
Maintenance & Safety
* Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for machinery.
* Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and GMP practices.
* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
* Track production efficiency, downtime, yield, and wastage.
* Present operational updates and improvement plans to management.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, any food degree
* Additional certifications in Production Management, Food Safety, HACCP, or GMP will be preferred.
Experience
* 5+ years of experience in production management within Food Processing, Spices, Dehydrated Products, FMCG, or Agro Manufacturing industries.
* Experience handling production teams and manufacturing operations.
