Job Summary
The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, goods, and services required by the organization. The role involves maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring timely procurement, cost optimization, and adherence to company policies and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate terms and conditions.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to support operations.
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, supplier details, and contracts.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase requests when required.
- Track orders and resolve issues related to delivery delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain vendor databases.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Prepare procurement reports and cost analysis for management review.
- Support audits by providing relevant purchase documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / BE in Mechanical preferred. Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain functions.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.).
