- We work with founders, CXOs, CMOs, CTOs, Heads of Growth, and eCommerce leaders to identify revenue leakage and improve commerce performance across websites, mobile apps, analytics, CRO, CRM, retention, subscriptions, marketplaces, and growth operations. We are now hiring a Business Development Manager to help us build a strong pipeline of high-quality eCommerce and D2C brands.
About the Role
- We are looking for a sharp, persistent, and commercially-minded Business Development Manager — eCommerce / D2C Sales to identify, research, reach, and qualify serious eCommerce brands for SuperCommerce.
- This is not a generic lead generation role.Your job is not just to send emails or book random meetings. Your job is to create qualified business opportunities with the right founders, CXOs, growth leaders, and eCommerce decision-makers.
- SuperCommerce leadership will initially lead final closing conversations, but you will be responsible for creating and advancing the pipeline that leads to paid audits, advisory, and implementation opportunities.
- Core Mission : Your mission is to build a qualified eCommerce founder/CXO pipeline that converts into paid SuperCommerce engagements.
You will own the journey from:
- Account research → decision-maker mapping → personalized outreach → qualification → discovery support → proposal follow-up → conversion support
Key Responsibilities
1. Build the Target Account List
- Research and build a high-quality list of eCommerce and D2C brands that fit the SuperCommerce ICP.
- Target accounts may include:
- D2C brands
- Marketplace-led brands
- Beauty, fashion, personal care, food, lifestyle, electronics, home, wellness, and consumer brands
- Brands doing meaningful online revenue
- Indian brands first, with global expansion potential later
- You will identify the right decision-makers, including:
- Founders
- CEOs
- CMOs
- CTOs
- Heads of Growth
- Heads of eCommerce
- Marketing leaders
- Digital transformation leader
2. Research Business Problems
- Before outreach, you should be able to study a brand and identify possible business angles.
- This may include:
- Website conversion gaps
- Product page issues
- Checkout friction
- Cart abandonment
- Retention gaps
- Weak CRM flows
- Poor analytics visibility
- Mobile app opportunities
- Subscription opportunities
- Marketplace expansion opportunities
- Slow or outdated commerce infrastructure
- You do not need to be a senior consultant, but you must be able to understand eCommerce business problems beyond “they need marketing.”
3. Run Founder and CXO Outreach
- You will create and execute outreach through:
- LinkedIn
- Email
- Founder networks
- Referrals
- Commerce communities
- Podcast/community invitations
- Agency and consultant networks
- Your outreach should be specific, sharp, and relevant to the brand.
- We do not want generic spam messages.
4. Qualify Opportunities
- You will help qualify whether a prospect is worth leadership time.
- A qualified opportunity should usually have:
- A serious eCommerce or D2C business
- A relevant decision-maker
- A clear business problem or growth opportunity
- Interest in audit, advisory, growth, technology, analytics, or commerce improvement
- Potential to convert into a paid SuperCommerce engagement
5. Support Discovery and Proposal Movement
- You will support SuperCommerce leadership before and after discovery calls.
- This includes:
- Preparing pre-call account notes
- Summarizing brand research
- Documenting call notes
- Tracking objections
- Following up professionally
- Sharing relevant materials
- Keeping CRM updated
- Helping move opportunities toward paid conversion
6. Maintain CRM and Weekly Pipeline Reports
- You will be expected to maintain clean pipeline records.
- This includes:
- Target accounts
- Contact details
- Outreach status
- Follow-up dates
- Call outcomes
- Opportunity stage
- Proposal status
- Expected deal value
- Conversion status

First 30 Days
- Understand SuperCommerce positioning and offers
- Build 150–200 qualified target accounts
- Map 300–500 decision-makers
- Start personalized outreach
- Create clean CRM tracking
- Generate first qualified founder/CXO conversations
First 60 Days
- Build 300–400 qualified target accounts
- Create a steady outbound rhythm
- Support 10–15 qualified discovery conversations
- Help identify 3–5 proposal opportunities
- Improve messaging based on response quality
- First 90 Days
- Build 500+ qualified target accounts
- Support 25–40 qualified founder/CXO conversations
- Help convert 1–3 paid audits or diagnostics
- Create ₹1Cr–₹5Cr in qualified pipeline
- Establish a repeatable outreach and follow-up process
Performance incentives are additional
- Indicative incentive structure:
- Paid audit / diagnostic collected: incentive based on collected value
- Advisory retainer converted: incentive based on first collected invoice
- Implementation project converted: incentive based on first collected invoice
- Expansion or repeat engagement converted: incentive based on collected value
