Job Summary:
The Accounts & Billing Head will be responsible for managing the complete accounting, billing, taxation, and financial operations of the organization. The role requires close coordination with project, procurement, and sales teams to ensure timely project billing, collection management, GST compliance, vendor payments, and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:Accounts & Finance Management
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor company cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Conduct account reconciliations and financial analysis.
Billing & Receivables Management
- Generate customer invoices based on project milestones and work completion.
- Ensure timely submission of RA Bills, Tax Invoices, and Final Bills.
- Track outstanding payments and coordinate with clients for collections.
- Monitor debtor aging and improve collection efficiency.
Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Professional Tax, and other statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with CA and auditors for statutory audits and tax filings.
- Maintain all financial records as per legal requirements.
Payables & Vendor Management
- Verify vendor invoices and process payments as per agreed terms.
- Monitor purchase orders, material invoices, and subcontractor bills.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Project Financial Control
- Coordinate with project teams for billing documentation.
- Monitor project-wise profitability and cost tracking.
- Prepare MIS reports for management review.
Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise the accounts and billing team.
- Develop financial controls, SOPs, and reporting systems.
- Ensure timely completion of accounting and billing activities.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Accounts, Billing, GST, TDS, and Financial Reporting.
- Experience in Project Billing, RA Billing, and Contract Management.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and Accounting Software.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of Fire Fighting, MEP, Construction, or Infrastructure Industry preferred.
Qualification:
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter or equivalent.
Experience:
- 5–10+ years of experience in Accounts & Billing, preferably in Fire Fighting, MEP, Construction, EPC, or Infrastructure projects.
