Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Purchase Manager to oversee procurement activities for our real estate and construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction material procurement, vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely procurement of materials while maintaining quality standards and project budgets.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Purchasing
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for construction projects.
- Source and procure civil, electrical, plumbing, interior, and finishing materials.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, work orders, and procurement contracts.
- Ensure timely availability of materials as per project schedules.
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers and vendors.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and negotiate competitive pricing.
- Conduct vendor performance reviews and maintain vendor databases.
- Ensure supplier compliance with quality and delivery standards.
Cost Control & Negotiation
- Obtain quotations and prepare comparative statements for management approval.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure procurement activities align with project budgets.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and accounts teams regarding procurement requirements.
- Track material deliveries and resolve supply-related issues.
- Prepare procurement reports and maintain accurate records.
- Support project teams in achieving procurement targets and timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or purchase management within the real estate or construction industry.
- Experience in handling procurement for residential, commercial, plotted development, or infrastructure projects.
- Good knowledge of construction materials, vendor sourcing, and procurement processes.
