Job Overview
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented ESG & GHG Data Analyst to join our sustainability team. You will lead the collection, calculation, and reporting of our clients greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory alongside broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Carbon Accounting & GHG Management
Emissions Inventory: Quantify and manage Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 GHG emissions datasets.
Data Collection: Gather activity data including facility utility bills, fleet fuel records, travel data, and procurement logs.
Framework Modeling: Apply the GHG Protocol to develop emission factors and build repeatable carbon accounting models.
Audit Readiness: Prepare clear data trails and documentation for third-party assurance and verification processes.
ESG Data Analysis & Reporting
Framework Alignment: Aggregate and validate data for disclosures under CSRD, SEC climate rules, IFRS (ISSB), GRI, and SASB.
Data Management: Maintain the internal ESG data management platform to track indicators like water use, waste, diversity, and labor metrics.
Survey Completion: Compile accurate submissions for investor requests and rating agencies including CDP, MSCI, and S&P Global.
Strategy & Business Intelligence
Dashboard Creation: Design interactive BI dashboards to communicate sustainability KPIs to executive leadership and department heads.
Anomaly Detection: Audit data pipelines to identify data gaps, anomalies, and opportunities for operational efficiency.
Reduction Tracking: Model future carbon reduction scenarios to track progress against corporate net-zero and science-based targets (SBTi).
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience working directly with corporate sustainability data, carbon accounting, or ESG reporting.
Technical Skills: Mastery of Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) and experience with data tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
Subject Expertise: Deep understanding of the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and current global ESG regulatory trends.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using specialized carbon accounting software or ESG data platforms.
Formal certifications such as Climate Disclosure Professional, LEED green associate, or SASB FSA credential.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
