Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement stable, secure, and scalable database schemas
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and fix system errors
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate applications with data layers
- Set up data backup, recovery plans, and data integrity protocols [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in database languages like SQL and experience with RDBMS or NoSQL platforms (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data pipelines
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
