Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Account Manager to support the Accounts & Finance department in managing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge and experience in handling accounts payable, receivable, taxation, and MIS reporting.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Operations
- Assist in managing day-to-day accounting transactions and bookkeeping activities.
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
- Prepare journal entries, ledger postings, and account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Monitor customer payments and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly.
- Maintain payment schedules and records.
Taxation & Compliance
- Assist in GST, TDS, Professional Tax, and other statutory compliances.
- Prepare and maintain compliance-related documentation.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
- Ensure timely filing of returns and regulatory reports.
Financial Reporting & MIS
- Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, and financial summaries.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Generate reports for management review and decision-making.
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
Banking & Coordination
- Handle banking transactions and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and internal departments.
- Support the Account Manager in implementing financial controls and processes.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial Management.
- Experience in GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP, Busy, SAP, or other ERP systems.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS Reporting).
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy.
Qualifications
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
- CA Inter / CMA Inter will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 4- 6 years of experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Experience in manufacturing, retail, or service industries preferred.
