Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for large‑scale commercial projects, multi‑family buildings, and high‑rise developments. Experience with K‑12 projects is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection).
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Utilize CAD and Revit for efficient system design.
- Conduct site visits and inspections for compliance with codes.
- Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and stakeholders.
- Perform load calculations, energy analysis, and system sizing.
- Ensure adherence to US codes and standards (IBC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8–10 years of experience in mechanical system design for large projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Proficiency in CAD and Revit.
- Familiarity with USA building codes (IBC).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with multi‑family and high‑rise projects.
- Exposure to green building design and sustainable practices (preferred).
- K‑12 project experience (preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Green Building Rating Systems (LEED, IGBC).
- Experience with energy simulation software.
