- Lead electrical design for material handling systems including cranes, conveyors, lifts, hoists, and automation equipment.
- Prepare electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN.
- Select and size motors, VFDs, PLCs, MCCs, and other electrical/control components as per project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards (IEC/IS/CE).
- Coordinate with mechanical, automation, and production teams for seamless integration of systems.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at client sites.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Liaise with vendors and clients to finalize specifications and approvals.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical design for material handling equipment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar software.
- Understanding of PLC programming basics, industrial automation, and SCADA (advantageous).
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical design & execution in material handling/manufacturing projects.
