ABOUT US
We build and run a portfolio of 50+ direct-to-consumer online stores selling to
customers in the US and Canada. We test products fast, kill the losers, and scale
the winners hard. Small team, no bureaucracy, a lot of ownership per person.
THE ROLE
You own everything between "we want to test this product" and "the product is
landing on customers' doorsteps at a cost that makes us money." You find the
suppliers, get the samples, do the cost maths, negotiate the price down, and keep
our winning products in stock and on quality.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- Sourcing new products. Given a product brief, find 3-5 credible suppliers
(Alibaba, 1688, Global Sources, agents, or domestic where it makes sense), get
quotes, MOQs, lead times and sample pricing, and come back with a
recommendation — not just a list.
- Samples. Get samples ordered and delivered quickly, then check them honestly
against the photos and claims on our website. If the real product doesn't match
what the ad promises, you flag it before we spend money on traffic.
- Landed cost. Unit price + shipping + duties + payment fees is the number that
decides whether a product is viable. You keep it accurate for every product and
feed it into our profit tracking. No guessed numbers.
- Negotiation and cost reduction. Once a product starts scaling, go back and take
the price down — volume breaks, better payment terms, cheaper packaging, better
shipping mode. Every dollar you cut is a dollar of profit.
- Shipping decisions. Choose between express, air freight and sea per product
based on margin and urgency, and manage the freight forwarder or agent.
- Quality and reliability. Set simple quality checks, track defect and complaint
rates by supplier, and keep a scored supplier list. Every scaling product needs
a backup supplier — a supplier going dark on a winning store is not acceptable.
- Stock cover. Work off our advertising plans so winners never go out of stock and
losers don't leave us sitting on inventory.
- Risk screening. No counterfeit, trademarked or IP-infringing goods, and flag
anything with product-safety or certification requirements before we buy.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN YOUR FIRST 6 MONTHS
- Product brief to sample in hand in under 14 days, consistently.
- Landed cost accurate and up to date on every active product.
- 10%+ cost reduction on our top-selling products.
- Zero stockout days on any product we're actively advertising.
- A backup supplier identified for every scaled product.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 2-4 years sourcing or import/export for e-commerce, retail or a trading company
— ideally buying from China for Western markets.
- Confident negotiating in written English with overseas suppliers over
WhatsApp, WeChat and email, including outside your own working hours.
- Comfortable with the money side: unit economics, margins, duties, and shipping
terms (EXW / FOB / DDP).
- Genuinely strong with spreadsheets, and quick to pick up new software and AI
tools — we run on them.
- Ownership. You chase suppliers who go quiet, you tell us when a number looks
wrong, and you send a short status update before we have to ask.
NICE TO HAVE
- Existing agent or supplier contacts in China.
- Experience with private-label or custom-branded packaging.
- Experience with 3PLs or fulfilment centres shipping into the US or Canada.
WORKING SETUP
Fully remote. You'll need a reliable internet connection and a backup, and some
flexibility on hours to overlap with suppliers.
COMPENSATION
8-12 lpa, based on experience.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply here with your CV. Shortlisted candidates get a short intro call, then a
practical work sample — a real sourcing brief where you find suppliers, cost it
out and give us a recommendation — then a final conversation with the founder.
We hire on what you can actually do, not on your CV.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
