About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Electrical Draughtsman to join our engineering and design team in India. In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex electrical engineering concepts into precise, high-quality technical drawings and schematics. If you have a sharp eye for detail and strong proficiency in electrical drafting standards, we want you on our team!
Key Responsibilities
- Schematics & Diagrams: Prepare clear Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), power distribution schematics, and control wiring diagrams.
- Layouts & Routing: Draft comprehensive lighting layouts, power socket layouts, and detailed cable tray/trunking routing plans.
- Equipment Details: Design and document electrical room layouts, earthing/grounding details, and panel placements.
- Software Execution: Utilize AutoCAD and related drafting tools to create, update, and manage professional master drawing files.
- Coordination: Coordinate closely with electrical engineers and project teams to resolve drawing clashes, incorporate design modifications, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of hands-on electrical drafting experience within consulting, contracting, or industrial engineering sectors.
- Bonus Qualifications: Prior working experience or proficiency in MicroStation is strongly preferred.
- Technical Know-How:
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or standard AutoCAD.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical symbols, wiring standards, codes, and installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, vendor drawings, and architectural blueprints.
- Competencies: High level of accuracy, strong spatial visualization skills, and the ability to manage multiple deliverables under tight project schedules.
