Position Description:
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations and strategies within a designated geographical area. This role involves managing a sales team, developing and implementing sales plans, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets and business growth. Responsibilities & Duties:
·Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and market share growth within the assigned area.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and trends, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management.
·Team Management:
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
Set clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.
Conduct performance reviews and implement strategies for team development and motivation.
·Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
Address customer queries and complaints promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Conduct regular customer visits and meetings to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
·Sales Operations:
Monitor sales activities, track performance metrics, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Manage inventory levels, distribution, and logistics to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
Coordinate with marketing, finance, and other departments to support sales initiatives and promotional activities.
·Market Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and markets within the designated area.
Develop and execute plans to penetrate new market segments and expand the customer base.
Analyze competitor activities and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Skills&Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the agriculture equipment sector.
Previous experience in Agrostar, Husqvarna, KisanKraft, IB Monotaro, RatnagiriImpex, Fortune Agro tech, Bonhoeffer Machines, Aspee, Fortune Agro Impex, Industry Buying Monotaro, E-Agrocare, or a relevant company is preferred.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel within the assigned area as required.
