Job Summary
The Plumbing Worker is responsible for installing, repairing, testing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial building construction projects. The role includes working with water supply, drainage, sanitary, and rainwater piping systems while following safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install water supply, drainage, and sanitary piping systems.
- Read and understand plumbing drawings and layout plans.
- Measure, cut, thread, and join pipes using appropriate tools.
- Install plumbing fixtures such as toilets, wash basins, sinks, urinals, showers, and faucets.
- Perform pressure testing and leak testing of pipelines.
- Repair or replace damaged pipes, valves, and plumbing fixtures.
- Install underground and overhead piping as per approved drawings.
- Ensure proper pipe alignment, supports, and slope for drainage lines.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other construction trades to complete work on schedule.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good condition.
- Follow all site safety rules and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Keep the work area clean and dispose of waste materials properly.
- Report material shortages, quality issues, and safety concerns to the supervisor.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of plumbing materials such as PVC, CPVC, UPVC, PPR, HDPE, GI, and copper pipes.
- Ability to read construction and plumbing drawings.
- Good knowledge of plumbing tools and equipment.
- Understanding of plumbing installation standards and testing procedures.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Plumbing (preferred).
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in building construction plumbing works.
- Knowledge of plumbing codes and construction safety practices.
Working Conditions
- Work at construction sites, including indoor and outdoor environments.
- May require working at heights, in confined spaces, and extended working hours when required.

- Quality of plumbing installation.
- Completion of work within the planned schedule.
- Zero safety violations.
- Minimal rework and defects.
- Proper maintenance of tools and materials.
Pay: ₹23,000.00 per month
