Manager – RM Procurement (EV Charger Installation)

Job Summary:
Responsible for end-to-end procurement of raw materials required for EV charger installations, ensuring timely availability, cost optimization, and quality compliance. The role focuses on sourcing, vendor management, and inventory planning for installation materials.
Key Responsibilities:
1. RM Procurement Planning
· Identify and forecast material requirements for EV charger installations
· Ensure timely availability of all installation-related raw materials
· Coordinate with project/installation teams for demand planning
2. Sourcing & Vendor Management
· Develop and onboard vendors for RM such as:
o Cables (AC/DC, power, communication)
o MCB, MCCB, DBs, connectors
o Earthing materials
o Mounting structures, poles, hardware
o Conduits, pipes, junction boxes
· Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts
· Develop alternate vendors to avoid dependency
3. Cost Optimization
· Continuously work on cost reduction initiatives
· Benchmark prices and analyze market trends
· Ensure procurement within approved budgets
4. Purchase Order & Inventory Management
· Raise and track POs as per requirement
· Monitor delivery schedules and ensure on-time supply
· Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages/excess
5. Quality & Compliance
· Ensure materials meet required technical specifications
· Coordinate with QC/engineering team for approvals
· Ensure compliance with industry standards (BIS/IEC)
6. Coordination & Reporting
· Work closely with warehouse, logistics, and installation teams
· Track material consumption vs plan
· Maintain MIS reports for procurement, vendor performance, and inventory
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Supply Chain
· 5–10 years of experience in procurement (preferably electrical/infra projects)
· Strong knowledge of electrical raw materials used in installations
· Good negotiation and vendor handling skills
Preferred Skills:
· Experience in EV charging infrastructure / EPC projects
· Knowledge of ERP/SAP systems
· Strong analytical and costing skills
Key KPIs:
· On-time RM availability for installations
· Cost savings / procurement efficiency
· Vendor lead time and reliability
· Inventory optimization (no stock-out/excess)
· Quality compliance of materials
Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
