Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent accounting skills, with expertise in bookkeeping and compliance processes in the US and Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks using Excel, Xero, and QuickBooks. Intermediate Excel proficiency is required.2. Ensure accurate data entry for US and Canadian personal tax returns.3. Manage payroll compliances for US and Canadian corporations.4. Oversee sales tax compliance for both US and Canada.5. Conduct thorough research to resolve client tax and accounting inquiries.6. Adapt to extended working hours during tax season (January to June).7. Complete any other duties as assigned by the management.
Key Responsibilities:1. Prepare Canadian personal, corporate, and partnership tax returns (T1, T2, T5013, etc.).
2. Prepare US tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships (1040, 1120, 1065, etc.)
3. . Perform accounting and bookkeeping tasks using Excel, Xero, and QuickBooks. Intermediate Excel proficiency is required.
4. Oversee sales tax compliance for both US and Canada.5. Conduct thorough research to resolve client tax and accounting inquiries.6. Adapt to extended working hours during tax season (January to June).
7. Gather and analyze client information for accurate return preparation.
8. Maintain organized working papers and documentation for review.
9. Complete any other duties as assigned by the management.
