Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Panel Mechanical Designer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in designing electrical control panels. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in AutoCAD and sheet metal design, with strong knowledge of panel enclosure layouts, fabrication drawings, and BOM preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical layouts for LT electrical panels, control panels, PCC, MCC, APFC, PLC, and other electrical panel enclosures.
- Prepare detailed fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop GA (General Arrangement) drawings and sheet metal drawings.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and fabrication details.
- Coordinate with the electrical design, production, and procurement teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Optimize panel designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
- Review and revise drawings based on client comments or project changes.
- Maintain proper documentation of design files and revisions.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in panel mechanical design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication drawings.
- Experience in preparing GA drawings, BOMs, and panel layouts.
- Understanding of electrical panel enclosure standards and manufacturing processes.
- Good problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Qualification
- Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
