Position: Interior Head / Interior Design Head

Salary: Around ₹50,000 per month, depending on experience, portfolio, and capabilities
We are looking for an experienced, creative, and execution-focused Interior Head who can take complete ownership of interior projects — from initial concept and client discussions to site execution and final handover.
This is a leadership role for someone who combines strong design thinking, project management, client handling, site coordination, vendor negotiation, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead interior projects from concept development through final handover
- Develop and review design concepts, layouts, material selections, presentations, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project documentation
- Take ownership of project budgets, schedules, quality, and delivery timelines
- Review and approve drawings before execution
- Manage client meetings, presentations, approvals, feedback, and ongoing communication
- Supervise site execution and ensure work is completed as per approved design and quality standards
- Identify and resolve design, technical, coordination, and execution issues at site
- Coordinate with architects, designers, contractors, vendors, consultants, and site teams
- Negotiate vendor and contractor quotations in coordination with the Purchase Team
- Ensure procurement and execution remain within approved project margins and budgets
- Lead, guide, and mentor Interior Designers, Junior Designers, and Interns
- Allocate work and monitor the performance of the design team
- Manage multiple live projects simultaneously
- Support the Founder in improving design processes, project delivery, client experience, and overall studio growth
- Support Senior Interior Designer, Site Supervisor, or Project Coordinator responsibilities during peak workload or team absences when reasonably required
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant interior design/project execution experience
- At least 2+ years of experience leading projects, designers, or a small team
- Strong portfolio demonstrating projects from concept to execution
- Strong understanding of interior detailing, materials, finishes, furniture, site execution, BOQs, and costing
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of SketchUp and/or 3ds Max
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel
- Strong presentation, material research, and material application skills
- Excellent client-facing and communication abilities
- Strong vendor/contractor negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, stakeholders, and a small team simultaneously
- Practical problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to take independent ownership and make timely project decisions
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 90 days, the successful candidate should be able to:
- Independently manage 2–3 live interior projects
- Maintain strong coordination with minimal or no coordination-related rework
- Handle client communication independently without requiring regular Founder intervention
- Finalize vendor and contractor negotiations directly while maintaining project margin targets
- Keep design, procurement, site execution, and project timelines properly aligned
- Effectively lead and mentor the design team
