Role Summary
We are seeking an analytical and technically precise QA Engineer (2+ Years) on behalf of our premium technology client. In this role, you will own the quality footprint across our web platforms, backend REST APIs, and core AI-driven features. You will balance hands-on exploratory manual testing with robust automation engineering—building scalable test suites, verifying data pipeline integrity via SQL, and establishing specialized validation protocols to test the accuracy, consistency, and edge-case behaviors of machine learning models.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Engineering Architecture: Design, author, and preserve comprehensive test plans, complex test matrices, and mock test data across web, API, and data environments.
- Multi-Tier Quality Execution: Perform rigorous functional, regression, multi-tier integration, and unstructured exploratory testing across scheduled production releases.
- Automation Engineering: Build, calibrate, and maintain scalable automated test suites targeting both the user interface (UI) and service layers.
- AI/ML Validation: Validate AI/ML outputs and algorithm performance by systematically checking for statistical accuracy, model drift consistency, structural bias, and graceful failure handling.
- API & Pipeline Testing: Test REST APIs and underlying data pipelines to verify schema definitions, payload quality, and integration correctness.
- Defect Lifecycle Governance: Document, log, track, and triage systemic software defects within tracking systems, verifying technical fixes through to clean closure.
- Agile DevOps Collaboration: Partner directly with Product Owners, Data Scientists, and Backend Engineers to embed quality frameworks throughout rapid Agile/Scrum sprints.
Mandatory Selection Criteria (Applications without these will not be considered):
- Overall Experience: Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in QA / Software Testing, with a verified balance of both manual and automation execution.
- AI/Data Product Exposure: Direct experience testing data products, analytics engines, or AI/ML features (knowledgeable on validating edge cases and graceful failures in algorithmic outputs).
- Automation Frameworks: Hands-on automation experience utilizing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or a comparable enterprise framework.
- Scripting Languages: Strong working proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java dedicated to test automation scripting.
- API Testing Tools: Proven experience testing REST APIs and backend data structures using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent libraries.
- SQL & Data Mastery: Robust data manipulation skills with the ability to write custom SQL queries to validate backend database integrity and data state transformations.
- QA Methodology: Complete command over core QA methodologies, SDLC/STLC lifecycle gates, and modern Agile/Scrum execution models.
- Soft Skills: Sharp analytical mindset, extreme attention to detail, and a clear, descriptive style of defect communication.
Preferred Skills & Cloud Competencies:
- CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated test pipelines into CI/CD setups (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Domain & Cloud Ecosystems: Functional familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments or prior exposure to the Insurance sector.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
