A Cyber Security Analyst Intern assists the security team in protecting an organisation's systems, networks, and data from cyber threats while gaining hands-on industry experience.
- Monitor security alerts and incidents.
- Assist in identifying and analysing security vulnerabilities.
- Support vulnerability assessments and security testing.
- Review system logs and security reports.
- Help investigate suspicious activities and potential threats.
- Assist in implementing security controls and best practices.
- Participate in risk assessment and compliance activities.
- Document findings and prepare security reports.
- Learn and work with cyber security tools and technologies.
- Basic knowledge of cyber security principles, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and system security concepts.
- Familiarity with security monitoring, log analysis, and reporting tools.
- Basic knowledge of vulnerability assessment and risk management concepts.
- Understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and security best practices.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new cyber security tools and technologies.
