We are looking for a Part-Time Accountant to manage the company's accounting operations, statutory compliance, tax filings, financial reconciliations, and related regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Tally, GST, TDS, ROC compliance, bank reconciliation, and foreign transactions, and should be able to independently manage routine accounting and compliance activities.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts in Tally.
- Record and verify sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Maintain ledgers and supporting financial documentation.
- Prepare invoices and process bills and payment documentation.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
GST & Tax Compliance
- Prepare and file GST returns and ensure timely GST compliance.
- Reconcile GST records with books of accounts and relevant GST data.
- Manage TDS deductions, payments, and quarterly TDS return filings.
- Maintain TDS certificates and related documentation.
- Support preparation of tax-related information required by external consultants/auditors.
ROC & Corporate Compliance
- Coordinate and support ROC (Registrar of Companies) filings and statutory compliance.
- Maintain necessary corporate and financial records required for ROC filings.
- Coordinate with the company's Company Secretary/CA, where applicable, for statutory filings.
Bank & Financial Reconciliation
- Perform monthly bank reconciliation.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and books of accounts.
- Reconcile vendor, customer, and other relevant ledgers.
Foreign Transactions & FEMA Compliance
- Maintain accounting records for foreign currency transactions, foreign receipts, payments, and remittances.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and accounting treatment for overseas transactions.
- Support compliance with applicable Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) requirements.
- Coordinate with the company's bank, CA, and other advisors for foreign remittance and regulatory reporting requirements, wherever applicable.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare periodic financial statements and management reports as required.
- Support quarterly financial and statutory reporting.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and statutory reviews.
- Ensure accounting and compliance deadlines are tracked and met.
- Assist in preparing financial information for project/grant reporting when required.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and statutory compliance.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Tally
- GST filing and compliance
- TDS and quarterly TDS returns
- ROC filing and compliance
- Bank reconciliation
- Bookkeeping and ledger maintenance
- Invoicing and accounts payable/receivable
- Foreign transactions and FEMA compliance
- Good knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets.
- Ability to independently manage accounting and compliance activities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet statutory deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with start-ups, social enterprises, project-based organisations, or companies receiving foreign payments/grants.
- Experience coordinating with Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, auditors, and banks.
- Familiarity with accounting for foreign currency transactions and international remittances.
- Experience managing accounting across multiple projects or funding sources.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
