Position Details
Position: Executive – R&D
Location: Chhattisgarh
Education: M.Sc. Agriculture / Ph.D. in Agriculture
Experience: Min. 2–4 years of relevant experience in agricultural field research.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor field trials for herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, plant growth regulators (PGRs), and other crop protection products across Chhattisgarh.
- Conduct field trials in accordance with approved protocols, Good Experimental Practices (GEP), and company standards to ensure accurate, reliable, and high-quality data.
- Collect, record, analyze, and validate field trial data while maintaining complete, accurate, and well-organized documentation.
- Prepare technical reports, trial summaries, data analyses, and professional presentations for the Portfolio Manager and R&D leadership.
- Provide regular updates to the Zonal field trial manager & Portfolio Manager on trial progress, key observations, challenges, milestone achievements, and recommendations.
- Organize and conduct product demonstrations, field days, and technical showcases for the Sales and Marketing teams.
- Monitor crop growth stages, weed flora, insect pest and disease incidence, weather conditions, and crop response throughout the trial period.
- Generate technical recommendations and agronomic insights based on trial observations, product performance, and local agronomic conditions.
- Manage the procurement, storage, inventory, and proper utilization of trial materials, chemicals, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate trial records and ensure the timely submission of reports, photographs, and all supporting documentation.
- Travel extensively across Chhattisgarh to supervise trial sites, monitor demonstrations, interact with farmers, and provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Investigate product complaints, identify the root cause, recommend appropriate corrective actions, and submit detailed investigation reports to the Portfolio Manager.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
- Possess strong communication, technical writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with farmers, distributors, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Sound knowledge of agronomy, crop protection products, and field research methodologies.
- Experience in designing, executing, and analyzing agricultural field trials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple field activities simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Chhattisgarh.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
